A qualified registered childminder, NVQ Level three trained in childcare. I'm certificated in paediatric first aid and have full public liability insurance. Ofsted the (department of education) inspect me regularly.

I believe passionately about good quality childcare in a home environment. I care for children from six months old to preschool age, providing them with a safe and secure fun learning environment.

I use the early year's foundation stage framework to support and teach the children. These areas underpin the requirements for a child’s early development. Each child has their own individual learning journal folder that tracks their progress while here in my care. The children have a daily diary that goes home with them each evening and tells their parents what they did and learnt that day.

The children's activities are planned months in advance and in accordance with their age and stage of development. The activities I plan include music and movement, reading and storytelling. Play-dough, arts and crafts. Singing & song learning, instrumental music making. Jigsaws and construction. Play-park, play-centre and day trips out.

It's very important that the parents and I have time to discuss any requirements their child may have. I make time for this in the morning and evening handovers.
